Wizz Air reported its passenger and C02 emission statistics for July 2022, which saw passenger numbers rise 61% year-on-year after a peak summer for airlines.
The budget airline carried 4.8 million passengers in July, a 61.1% increase compared to the prior year July. In addition, capacity increased from 3.8 million to 5.3 million with a load factor of 89.7% for July.

Furthermore, the company announced the launch of new routes from Abu Dhabi to the island of the Maldives and to Kuwait. Meanwhile, the company added to its winter schedule, announcing routes to Romania, Hungary, Italy, and much more.
Wizz Air also reported its C02 emissions decreased 18.7% to 58.6 grams per passenger for the rolling 12 months to 31 of July.
